RE: Beaufort SC

We have ridden down there and looked around and we liked it a lot but we have a hybrid and would really like to have sewer. There will be 4 adults and 1 child, we don't want to have to fold up the beds to go dump if we need to. Our son is transferring to Beaufort and we want to camp while we are getting them set up in their house. We will have their dogs so thought camping was a good option for us.

RE: With My Whole Heart, Thank You for My Freedom!!!

As the proud mother of a US Marine I thank you. This is one of the most moving post that I have ever read. I also thank you for my son who is a career Marine. After 7 years on the west coast he and his family are moving back to the east coast and we are so excited to finally have them where we can watch our granddaughter grow up. I pray for the safety of all our young men and women who sacrafise so much for me and all americans. God bless. Dean and Darrell

RE: portable ice maker on sale

We purchased one this year and have used it a couple of trips so far, we love it. We were spending a small fortune on ice in the past espescially when the 2 dgs were with us. We leave it run all day and dump it in the cooler when it gets full, usually cut it off at night and give it a rest. Before we leave for our trip we dump the icemaker in the fridge at home into a cooler with the drinks and water and then this supplemented the rest of the trip.

RE: if you have an outdoor shower....

Do private campgrounds or KOA's allow you to use these outdoor showers? We have never used ours and would like to.

RE: Why a Hybrid?

We have had ours for 2 camping seasons ,going on the 3rd and knock on wood have never had a leak issue. The main reason we got it was being able to pull it with my Trail Blazer, we have now gotten a new TV and may trade next year. We love it, but we are getting too old to make the beds as I have back and leg problems.

RE: 2008 Jayco 32BHDS - JAYFLIGHT G2

Looking at our owners manual it says with the towing package we can tow 10,600lbs. I don't like the doors on the bedroom either, but liked the back area for the grandsons as well as being able to come into the bathroom from the outside with tracking all the way thru. The weight of the trailor is listed at 7250lbs.

We have a 2006 Toyota Tundra with the towing package. Is this enough?

2008 Jayco 32BHDS - JAYFLIGHT G2

Anyone have this model TT 2008 Jayco 32BHDS - JAYFLIGHT G2? Do you like it or dislike it? We looked at one this weekend and fell in love with it. When we camp it usually me, dh, dd, sometimes dsil and 2 grandsons, this one looks like it would give us plenty of room and I love the backdoor that opens into the bathroom. thanks Dean

Dinette Table During Travel

Do ya'll put your table down while traveling or leave it up? When we did our walk thru service guy said you could leave it up but he preferred to put it down in the bed position to keep it from sliding. Thanks Dean

NC to Disney World Via I-95

We are going to Disney in Sept., right now we are trying to talk dd and dsil to camp while there. If we do camp what is a good campground to stop at on the way down close to I-95 in Ga.? Thanks Dean And Darrell

Fifth Wheel Reccomendations

We are thinking about upgrading from a hybrid to a 5'er. We just got a new truck that can handle a 5'er. There are only 2 of us with a small dog but most of the time our dd and 2 dgs (13 & 5) go with us and occassionally our dsil. Anyone have any ideas of a floor plan with good comfortable sleeping for all of us. We have just started looking and don't want to put a small fortune into one.

RE: Tonight's the night (lose my virginity)

I was sitting here all worried because my dad is having surgery on Monday and my mom has all of a sudden gotten sick and this has brought the biggest smile to my face. Thank you all so much. Hopefully next time we can join in all the fun with you guys. My dgs who is 4 has been telling us for some time that he wants to camp at Walmart, he would have loved this. Next time we can bring the pigs feet and hog jowls. Thank you again for the laugh Dean
